That’s right. I just got my brand, spanking new health insurance card in the mail today. It’s official…I have health insurance…finally!

I have joined the ranks of other health insurance-carrying members of society. Actually, I have an entire rant brewing on the subject of what it means to be privately insured, but I will have to save that for a later date. Right now, it’s time to search for some providers. Next up, doctors appointments to be made!

    Were you not required to have health insurance in med school? My school threatens to prevent us from registering for classes if we don’t have health insurance. I say “threaten” because one year I forgot to re-enroll in my health insurance plan and I didn’t have health insurance for three months and didn’t realize it. My school didn’t realize it either.

    Maybe if I had gone to Kitty’s Auto School, I wouldn’t have failed the parallel parking portion of my driving test years ago… But I can parallel park now!
